CARTE BLANCHE
This is the "overlooked" song on the soundtrack.
It's very easy to miss when watching the film because its prescence is
only in one scene, playing in the background on the radio, very faint.
The tail end of the song features Janet singing to the band (very noticable
in the film). This last "verse" per say, has been often called "Look
At Me" in some transcripts of the film, as though it alone was the song,
and not Carte Blanche. Several people think it sounds like a parrot
singing.
In an early Script ("The Brad and Janet Show")
this song was sung by Nation, Cosmo, and Janet as they drove their car
to the television studio.
Radio Singer: Carte Blanche is like
an avolanche
She kind of snowballs and
sets you free, oh oh
Carte Blanche is like an
avolanche
She kind of snowballs and
sets you free, oh oh
Carte Blanche is like an
avolanche
She kind of snowballs and
sets you free, oh oh
Janet: So if you're looking for
a standard for which you can aspire
Then baby, look at me, oh
oh oh, look at me.
