PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BEFORE READING "FRANKIE COMES AGAIN"

First of all, it is advised that you read "Prelude - What Happened Before Rocky Horror" before you read "Frankie Comes Again" (FCA).  Yes, FCA does connect Rocky Horror to Shock Treatment, but it makes plenty of references to my "Prelude" as well.  It's not exactly necessary you read "Prelude," just advised - so you won't be confused or shocked easily by some situations and characters.
FCA is a work of 17 years.  It started in '82 or '83, with some simple but fun ideas - without even knowledge of a film called Shock Treatment.  Within a few months, I had it worked out in my head for a full story.
Then came Shock Treatment (ST).  After watching it, I knew I had to make a connection between the two films, so my story had to be altered slightly (i.e., changing Janet's hair color and voice octave).
In '84, I moved to Topeka, KS and wrote the monthly fan club newsletters.  This was a great opportunity to share my first fan fiction.  Each month, fan club members were treated to installments, known as 2-page chapters in novel format.  Before long, fans wanted to know more and more that hadn't even been written yet!  Unfortunately, I moved away (back to Kansas City) after Chapter 18.  And the story was getting good!
In Kansas City, 1990, after reforming the fan club, I resumed the newsletter writing (this time in Kansas City) and offered the same installments.  Here's the problem: Kansas City loses theaters too often and the fan base disappears.  Over the past 9 years, only 6 installments were made.
From December '93 to July '97, Rocky Horror had no "home" in Kansas City, so I used this free time to write.  I completed "Frankie Comes Again" but as a musical, complete with sheet music, songs, and stage directions.  From there, I re-wrote it as a novel, unsure as to which format fans would like best.  (Unfortunately, all writings were either hand written or typed on an electric typewritter.  How primative!)  I also took the time to write many other fan fiction, some of which has been posted on the internet.

What you are about to read is a new format for me.  It's mostly "novel" written, but when it comes to songs, I have either written out the lyrics (the melody unknown to you readers) or "described" what the song was about.  I hope you enjoy my work of 17 years.  Sincerely, Donny O'Bryan.
