	U.S. Commercial Release - Ode Records / Warner Bros., 1981 There are some differences between the vinyl release and the compact disc release.  On Vinyl, the image and ST logo are evenly centered, whereas the CD has the focus off-centered to the right.  The back of the Vinyl release contains many more Polaroid pictures from the movie, as well as 4 "Polaroid" shots containing typed information: 1) Soundtrack Production Information, 2) Film Production Information, 3) Song Track Listing with names of the Characters who sing it, and 4) Cast of Characters and who play them (over the fuzzy lines of a tv screen). VALUE: Sealed with sticker - $20, Sealed without sticker - $15, Opened with plastic wrap still on, regardless of sticker - $13, Plastic wrap complete gone - $13 for mint condition, $10 for good condition
	U.S. Promo Release, Silver Stamped - Ode Records / Warner Bros., 1981 Same as commercial release.  Has silver stamp promotional label.  VALUE: $20 if in mint condition, $15 if in good condition
	U.S. Promo Release, Gold Stamped - Ode Records / Warner Bros., 1981 Same as commercial release.  Has gold stamp promotional label.  VALUE: $20 if in mint condition, $15 if in good condition
	U.S. Promo Release, Sticker Stamped - Ode Records / Warner Bros. LLA 3615, 1981 Same as commercial release, only has a transparent sticker on front, stuck to cardboard surface, reading "Loaned For Promotion Only.  Sale Is Unlawful.  Ownership Reserved By Warner Bros. Records Inc."  VALUE: $20 if in mint condition, $15 if in good condition
	Australian Release (1st pressing) - L 37716 (LLA 3615) Festival Records, 1981 Has a large round adhesive sticker of Cosmo on the cover stating the LP "Includes bonus cut out mask of Cosmo Mckinley". Also included in the jacket was a double-sided  flyer advertising all the current Shock T/RHPS albums in print on Festival Records. VALUE: $25 if sealed, $20 if not sealed but in mint condition with mask, $15 if not sealed but in mint or good condition without a mask.
	Australian Release (2nd pressing) - L 37716 (LLA 3615) Festival Records, 1981 Same as original but without black Cosmo circle promotion. Both these releases have similar record label artwork to the US release.  VALUE: $25 if sealed, $20 if not sealed but in mint condition, $15 if not sealed but in good condition
	Italian Release - 56 957 (LLA 3615) Warner Bros. Records Inc. Made and distributed in Italy by Wea Italiana S.P.A Milano Cover has a printed yellow circle with the words "THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW n.2". The label on the vinyl is completely unique without the Cosmo artwork & features some Italian wording (click HERE for side 1 and HERE for side 2). Also, etched into the vinyl is the date 28/2/83 (which would suggest this was pressed in 1983 rather than 1981).  VALUE: $35 if sealed, $30 if not sealed but in mint condition, $25 if not sealed but in good condition
	Canadian Release - XLA-3615 Warner Bros. Records Inc. Essentially, this is the same as the US release in every detail, except it was pressed in Canada, and states as such.  VALUE: Sealed $20, Opened - $15 for mint condition, $10 for good condition

SOUNDTRACK - CASSETTE

	US Release - WB M53615 Warner Bros. Records, 1981. Very difficult to find.  Features LP cover of US release album, set upon black background and white letters. VALUE:  $30 due to its rarity, regardless of condition.  (For a scan of the inside label of cassette, click HERE)
	Australian Release Extremely difficult to find.  VALUE:  $40 due to its rarity, regardless of condition.

SOUNDTRACK - COMPACT DISC

	U.S. Release - Off-centered cover picture (compared to vinyl version).  Different back cover (compared to vinyl version).  It is still in print, however most places don't carry it on their shelves, so they would have to special order it if they have any copies already sitting on shelves in their warehouses.  Otherwise, you can order it online at Rhino Records (find link under section "links").  Click HERE for a view of the CD art.  VALUE: $15 if sealed, $10 if not sealed, but in mint condition, $8 if not sealed, but in good/fair condition

	Australian Release - Same as US release, however the CD itself has different artwork.  It is out of print, but still might be able to be ordered if that store has a copy sitting on their warehouse shelves. 	12" Single - Ode Records / Warner Bros. PRO-A-976 Released only as a promotional 12", not a commercial release.  White cover with black text and black & white Shock Treatment logo.  Side A: Shock Treatment (the end credits version sung by Richard O'Brien only - not the version on soundtrack) 2:49.  Side B: Overture (soundtrack version) 2:16. Reads "Promotional Copy.  Not For Sale."  Spine of jacket mislabels the 12" as "Shock Treatment Original Sound Track."  The back of the jacket is plain white, with no text or art.  Click HERE for an image of the record label.  Few were made, very hard to come by. VALUE: $15 if in mint condition, $12 if in good/fair condition
	7" Single, U.S. Release, Black Vinyl - Ode Records / Warner Bros. LAS 49799 Released as a promotional 7" single only, not a commercial release.  In Picture Sleeve.  Similar cover to soundtrack, but without the "heart" symbol.  Has a "mock" signature of Richard O'Brien (done in Shock Treatment logo font).  Same tracks as 12" single above.  Click HERE for a view of the back of the picture sleeve.  Unique artwork on the record itself. Somewhat difficult to come by.  VALUE: $8 if in mint condition, $6 if in good/fair condition.  Subtract $2 off if not in picture sleeve.
	7" Single, U.S. Limited Edition Release, Red Vinyl - Ode Records / Warner Bros. 	7" Single, Australian Release, Red Vinyl - Festival / Interfusion / Ode Records K-8548 MX-58809 (LAS49799) Same as Black Vinyl  version above (Festival Records).  (Also note: while the 7" Australian single was released in the picture sleeve described, it was also repressed with a basic "festival" die-cut slip sleeve.  Here is a scanned image of the back.)  This version of "Shock Treatment" is the soundtrack version (2:15) instead of Richard O'Brien's solo version.  Click HERE for a close-up of the record label.  Overture is on back (2:16). 	Half-Sheet- Fox film One of the rarer formats of the movie poster.  Longways, vertically, half and half down the middle.  Left side: the traditional Cosmo face.  Right side: production credits. VALUE: $25 if in mint condition, $20 if in good condition, $15 if in fair condition

	Video Promotional Poster - CBS / Fox, 1985 This is a wonderful and rare poster sent to video stores when Shock Treatment was first released on video.  Most stores just threw them away eventually, if not immediately.  Totally different from the other posters.  This one focuses on Janet at table with Nation and Cosmo looking down on her.  The famous "Cosmo" face is in the background, turned diagonally in an extreme close-up.  VERY hard to find.  VALUE: $50 if in mint condition or near mint, $40 if in good condition, and $35 if in fair condition

Similar to US 1 sheet in size & art except at the top where the "RHPS" logo is actually in the proper drippy font (in black bold) not an ordinary one like the US poster. 	35mm Trailer - 20th Century Fox 35mm Film (the kind movie theaters use) format.  A "trailer" is more commonly known by movie theater patrons as "coming attractions" or "previews" seen before a movie starts. VALUE: $100 in good / mint condition, $75 for fair condition

FEATURE FILM

35mm Print - 20th Century Fox 35mm is the film used in projectors at movie theaters.  There are only 3 prints available for theaters to rent in the U.S.  Any print owned by a collector is not included in those 3 available prints.  The 35mm print is the hardest to come by.  If privately owned, it is unlawful to show the film for money.  Few collectors own a full print.  VALUE: $400, regardless of condition

16mm Print - 20th Century Fox Another theatrical format released was 16mm (smaller in width than 35mm print).  A little easier to come by than the 35mm format.  VALUE: $200, regardless of condition

VIDEOTAPE / LASERDISC

	BETA, 1985 Release - Key Video / CBS / Fox, 1184 Same Cover as the 1985 Key Video release.  (Click HERE for view of back)  Same VHS-size box (the inside of the box had interior "walls" to comfortably fit a small "beta" [often called "Beta-Max"] tape inside).  Blue sticker reading "Beta" hides the original "VHS" wording on the sides of the box.  Very hard to find, since Beta tapes went out of existence in 1990.  Stereo.  Standard (Pan and Scan) format.  VALUE: $20 if sealed, $15 if not sealed but in mint condition, $10 if not sealed but in in good/fair condition
	VHS, 1985 Release - Key Video / CBS / Fox, 1184 Key Video (a division of CBS / Fox video) released Shock Treatment in a new cover.  Sleeve has dark blue sides and top.  Front is blue, with inserted picture of famous Shock Treatment Cosmo head.  Shock Treatment logo is white.  Boasts "Hi-Fi Stereo" on front, as well as brief film credits.  Back features 2 film pictures: 1) Ansalong on top of television and 2) Bert holding Janet in his lap.  White box insert on bottom half of back cover reveals storyline and production info.  Most common to find of the older releases.  VALUE: $15 if sealed, $13 if not sealed but in mint condition, $10 if not sealed but in in good/fair condition
	Australian 1982 Original Release - CBS/Fox Video 1184-50 (93 mins) Rated M in stereo PAL format Red cover with all yellow text. Back cover has a standard plot synopsis, credits & features the group shot in front of TV during Farley's Song.  This release was only available to video stores - not a commercial release.  Long out of print.VALUE: $35 if in mint condition, $30 in good condition, $25 in fair condition
	VHS, 1987 Re-release - Key Video, 1184 Slight variation of the 1985 release.  Back contains only one picture: Janet sitting at table with Cosmo, Nation and Bert watching over her.  VALUE: $15 if sealed, $13 if not sealed but in mint condition, $10 if not sealed but in in good/fair condition
	VHS, 1989 Re-Release - CBS / Fox, 1184 Re-release with all red on front (with most common Cosmo promotional pic used).  This is the rarest of all the releases to find. Stereo.  Standard (Pan and Scan) format. VALUE: $25 if sealed, $20 if not sealed but in mint condition, $15 if not sealed but in in good/fair condition
	UK 1990 Re-release - CBS/Fox Video 1184 (91 mins) Rated PG in PAL format Hi-Fi Stereo. Part of CBS/Fox's "All time greatest Cult Collection" series.  Cover has grey background with Cosmo insert in a red box. No official Shock logo - title is just written in ordinary large print. "Trust me, I'm a doctor" added under Cosmo. Cosmo's face also on spine. Out of print.  VALUE: $30 if in mint condition, $25 in good condition, $20 in fair condition
	VHS, 1993 Re-release - Fox Video, 1184 The cover and sides are completely red.  Cosmo's face on cover with white Shock Treatment logo (with light blue edges).  The top reads "From the creators of THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW."  The back cover has a picture at the top of Janet seated, while Cosmo, Nation and Bert watch over her.  The remainder of back cover is black with text: 1) in red "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" was just the beginning." and 2) in white, a description, and 3) in blue, production information (film and video).  Recorded in Dolby Surround Stereo. Standard (Pan and Scan) format.  White (with light blue edges) Shock Treatment logo on sides.  Pretty easy to come by, as this is still in print, with several copies on warehouse shelves.  VALUE: $15 if sealed, $13 if not sealed but in mint condition, $10 if not sealed but in in good/fair condition
	Australian 1996 Re-Release - CBS/Fox Video 1184 (91 mins) Rated PG in PAL format Hi-Fi Stereo. Released along with RHPS in 1996 (for the 21st Anniversary).  Includes the Original Theatrical trailer at the start. This is the only release that I know of to have included this. All new double-sided cover slick artwork. Case is clear so the other side can be seen when box is opened. The back features 4 photos with an updated film description & mentions it's been 15 years since Shock Treatment was made. Reverse side is the collage of snap shots like the back of the soundtrack.  This just recently went out of print but can still be found.  VALUE: $25 if in mint condition, $20 in good condition, $15 in fair condition
	VHS, 1999 Re-release- Fox Video, 1184 I'm not sure if this is a new release actually.  It was sent to me, claiming to be a new cover/new release.  (It could be a rumor, with the image being a scan from the Australia 1996 release above).  Can't seem to find it when ordering.  But here's the information I have, assuming it's true.  New cover, with extreme close up of Cosmo's face (which is used for common covers) but slightly angled.  The vibrant red cover has been changed to a burnt red, sort of rust, color.  Shock Treatment logo is in yellow, for a change, while "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" (written at top) is white.  A "PG" stamp is in the bottom left corner on the cover.  Everything else is the same as the 1993 re-release.  Somewhat difficult to come by because all video boxes are labeled 1184, and you usually get another cover if special ordered.  VALUE: $15 if sealed, $13 if not sealed but in mint condition, $10 if not sealed but in in good/fair condition
	Laserdisc, Australian PAL release - CBS / Fox Video This laserdisc doesn't have japanese subtitles, and the cover and back are completely different than that of the Japanese release.  Says on cover it's mono, not stereo, but inside label (HERE and HERE) says it's in stereo, not mono.  Regardless, this item is VERY hard to find.  VALUE: $70 if sealed, $60 if not sealed but in mint condition, $50 if not sealed but in good/fair condition.
	Laserdisc, Japanese release - CBS / Fox Video, SF078-1273 This is the only time it has been released on laserdisc.  Only in Japan, not U.S., and features Japanese subtitles both on the movie and the sleeve.  Scenes are divided up into several "chapters" for easy access (basically at the start of each song).  (for another look at it, click HERE).  Extremely hard to come by since it is out of print.  VALUE: $60 if sealed, $50 if not sealed but in mint condition, $40 if not sealed but in in good/fair condition.

Press Kit - Fox Film, 810138 40 page booklet with information about cast and crew.  Also includes a set of black and white glossy photos.  Presented in a 20th Century Fox folder.  Hard to find.  VALUE: $50 for a complete set, including folder, $40 for a complete set, without folder, $30 or less for a broken set, and $2 for each black and white photo (without the press kit)

Lobby Cards - Fox Film, 810138 There are two sizes of the same Lobby card set. There is an 11" x 14" set and an  8" x 10" set.  The larger ones are rarer.  A complete set of 8 color photos printed on cardstock include:  1) Janet at table with Cosmo, Nation and Bert watching over her, 2) Audience standing and clapping during Denton USA, 3) Ansalong lying on top of television set with Cosmo, Nation and Ricky on sides, 4) Promotional shot of Brad, Janet and Bert on Marriage Maze (Brad wears a red winter scarf around neck), 5) Farley Flavors' Faith Factory Show, just before Brad jumps through wall, 6) Look What I Did To My Id publicity shot with cast (except Nation and Cosmo), 7) Publicity shot during song "Shock Treatment" with Nation, Harry, Janet, Bert, Emily and Ansalong in a pose, and 8) Pink-lit room where Janet dances on tabletop in a little black dress, while Nation, Cosmo and Bert pour champagne.  Not extremely common but they turn up often enough on eBay.  VALUE: $20 for complete set, or $2 for each card from an incomplete set

 

PROMOTIONAL ITEMS

	U.S. Mask - 20th Century Fox Cardboard mask with circles cut out at the eyes of famous "Cosmo" face.  I'm not sure how this was sold.  Someone told me once it came with the 12" but another fan said it came in a box set of Rocky Horror, while yet another fan said it was given as a promotional item from the studio to theaters (If anyone has imput, please email me).  VALUE: $5 if in mint condition or near mint, $4 if in good condition, and $3 if in fair condition
	Australian Mask - Festival Records The US printing of the Mask has a white plain background and was used as promotional material. In Australia the masks had a message printed on the back and were originally inserted into the LP. There are 4 different messages. 1. "The Rocky Horror Gang"  2. "Brad And Janet Are Back" 3. "Original Soundtrack on Records And Tapes"  4. "Be A Real Live Wire". These are extremely hard to find - especially all 4 masks!  (If you own the first pressing of the Australian LP with the mask inside, the value of the mask itself is added to the value of the LP).  VALUES for mint condition masks (deduct $5 off each for good or fair conditioned masks):  $100 for complete set of 4, $75 for set of 3, $50 for set of 2, or $25 for one mask.
(no image)	T-Shirt - Three different T-shirts were made for the film.  One features the red Shock Treatment logo printed on a black shirt.  Another features the "Denton Home Of Happiness" logo on a black, white, or red shirt.  The third shirt, sleeveless, is black with a unique font for Shock Treatment on in (white ink) with the Rocky Horror "lightning" bolt.  All shirts are hard to find. Each shirt VALUE: $30 if in mint condition or near mint, $25 if in good condition, and $20 if in fair condition
	Bumper Sticker - 20th Century Fox, 1981 There were two promotional black bumper stickers (U.S. and Australia released) each with the Shock Treatment logo on it.  U.S. release has logo in florescent red (pink) with white shadowing outlines.  Australian release has logo in red.  A Shock Treatment bumper sticker seems to pop up ever so often on eBay.  VALUE (either release): $8 if in mint condition or near mint, $5 if in good condition, and $3 if in fair condition
	Button - 20th Century Fox and Rocky Horror Shop Talk There are three different buttons made: 1) "Trust Me, I'm A Doctor" on black background.  This was sent to theaters in 1982 promoting the film.  2) Cosmo Face.  No other writing on button.  U.S. 1985, made by Rocky Horror Shop Talk.  3) Logo/Denton Heart/Trust Me I'm A Doctor.  U.S., 1985, made by Rocky Horror Shop Talk.  All 3 are very hard to come by, and theater promotion one is the rarest. (no image)	Starburst - Issue #30 This Australian movie magazine wrote a very small feature on the "upcoming" movie called "Shock Treatment."  It's unusual to find an article about the film while the film is still in shooting production.  I have included it here, for collector's purposes, even though it's incredibly short.  There are no pictures attached to the article, but you can read the transcript HERE. 	Cinema - Winter Special Issue This Australian magazine was published by the same people who brought you the "Starburst" magazine above.  This particular issue features a movie review of "Shock Treatment."  I am told only few issues were made before the magazine shut down.  Very hard to come by.  VALUE: $15 if in mint condition or near mint, $10 if in good condition, and $7 if in fair condition.
	The RHPS Official Australian Magazine - Collector's Edition, 1982, published by Murray Publishers This 60-page Rocky Horror magazine features a 14-page spread on Shock Treatment!  Has about 30 photos (mostly in color) from the film, and several exclusive interviews.  Also includes a bonus pin up of Cosmo McKinley. Shock Treatment, The Special Edition - Unknown

Shock Treatment, Double Feature - Unknown

This is a double CD bootleg (CDR).  It features the entire film on CD (most on 1st CD, continuing on the next) broken up into individual tracks for easy access.  The 2nd CD (thus the "double feature") is karaoke tracks from the film (which is a hard to find treat), as well as remixes previously made available on the "Remix" CD above.  VALUE: $35 if sealed, $30 if not

Dark Refrains - A Collection Of Rocky Horror And Related Rarities - Unknown

The privately produced (limited edition of 35 copies, stated) disc features some rare Richard O'Brien songs, as well as Little Nell songs.  Of course, there's some Rocky stuff on it as well.  Gold cd with professionally printed letters (paint) on the CD itself.  If you have an original, VALUE: $40.  If you have a CDR copy, VALUE: $10

Bride Of Rocky Horror Rarities - Unknown

This CD bootleg (CDR) features some Richard O'Brien tracks, as well as Shock Treatment sung in Japanese by Transexual Glamor.  Most of this CDR is poorly recorded.  Unknown how many copies of this there is floating around.  VALUE: $10

UPDATE:  Mad Man Mike recently emailed The Shock Treatment Network and explained the origin of this bootleg CD.  Here's an excerpt from his email:

Just looking at your site and wanted to give you the low down on the Bride of Rocky rarites cd that you have in the bootleg section.  Well I had made that back in like 1998. on a pioneer cd making machine. Just to fill in the gaps there where 25 copies in all with covers and what not. Sold only at the NYC convention, now as for the reason the tracks sound so bad. is because some where just off the 45s I had.  But most of them where taken from back then what where rare bootleg tapes and what not. this was before P2P file sharing and what not.  So I just used what I had at the time.  of course by today's standards I could get much better sources for it all.

Transexual Glamour CD - Japan, 1995, RHPS9999

This CD, privately produced, features Rocky Horror songs, sung in Japanese.  Also in Japanese, is a cover of the song Shock Treatment.  Running time of CD, just over 28 minutes. Value: $30

Shock Treatment - "Don Mike" Remix - Unknown

Original remix of the song, assumed to be a fan-made remix.  Have only seen on cassette copies, not CDR.  Contains dialogue from the film on top of a somewhat longer version of the title track.  VALUE: $5

Farley Flavors' Champagne

Same "brand" as in the film during "Little Black Dress."  Cute idea to have "F" labels made on champagne bottles (which I'm not sure are real champagne or grape juice).  I am told that they were "produced" by Shock Treatment fans or a fan club for Shock Treatment.  If anyone knows for sure, I would like more details please.  (NOTE:  I was just informed on where these wonderful items came from [thanks Ruth!].  You can check out the website at http://www.boog.org.) VALUE: $10 if sealed, $8 if not

Slides

From time to time, you can find slides for Shock Treatment for slide projectors.  They were never "officially" made by Fox.  These were hand made, most likely for profit, from film cells, and quite often cut directly out of the film or trailer.  This is a shame as 35mm film of Shock Treatment is rare, and cutting scenes for profit only makes "bad film slices" when a theater shows the film. Cutting from the 35mm trailer is even more shameful knowing its rarity. VALUE: $2 each slide.

Film Cells

Again, it's shameful that anyone purposely cut any film cells from the print or trailer (see "slides" above).  However, sometimes a film legitimately breaks, and a movie theater just cuts out the bad break and throws away some damaged (and sometimes undamaged) film cells.  It takes 24 frames of film to make one second of movie time.  Here are some more examples.  VALUE: $1 per frame

DuFoeNet INTERVIEW CDR

This is not a CD, but it is a CDR which tries to sound legitimate through advertizing on Rocky Horror sites and eBay.  The sound quality is dreadful and there are only 2 tracks related to Richard O'Brien, the second of which is incredibly short.  The interview is pretty much boring.  The seller recorded it onto a CDR and printed out a very pixillated black and white cover and back for the jewel case.  He (or she) sells it at $15 a piece, when the blank CDR probably cost them between 1 to 2 dollars.  VALUE: $2.00

Songs From The Vaults - 1990 Ode Records

From the 15th Anniversary Box Set of Rocky Horror.  Amongst the goodies inside is an album called "Songs From The Vaults" (available on cassette and compact disc).  Features Shock Treatment songs, as well as (Little) Nell Campbell songs.  VALUE (either format): $60 for entire box set unopened, or $50 for entire box set (nothing missing) opened.  CD or Cassette alone: $15

Dr. Demento CD - Rhino Records

Of course, "Time Warp" is a song easily found on a Dr. Dimento CD compilation.  However, if you search hard enough on ebay (or whatever), you'll be surprised to realize that the song "Shock Treatment" was released on compilation PROMOs sent out to radio stations.  It is regretful that there is not a compilation with the Shock Treatment song released commercially.  Available on compact disc and vinyl.  VALUE: $35

Lukeski CD

This is a legitimate (not bootleg) CD by a crazy guy named Lukeski (think Weird Al).  Has been featured on Dr. Deminto several times, as well as Man Cow.  He does many parodies of many songs, including "Rocky Horror," a parody of Insane Clown Possies "House of Horror" which (thanks to wonderful and cute editing) samples the famous Shock Treatment "riff."  His CD contains a parody of Mystery Science Theater 2000 sung to the tune of Rocky Horror's Science Fiction Double Feature.  A must have for all Rocky and Shock collectors.  And it's NOT a CDR, it's a real CD!  If you're interested in obtaining this CD, or his first double CD (not mentioned but contains original parodies of Rocky Horror) email Lukeski at lukeski@juno.com or visit his website, www.lukeski.com. Richard O'Brien single, "Time Warp 2K" - Oglio records

Although this is a "Rocky Horror" item (and I usually don't include Rocky Horror" items) it is included here because it is a Richard O'Brien solo effort.  It is a new recording, under his new label, without the RHPS cast helping him.  You can get order this updated remix of Time Warp (a CD-maxi single) from his new record label, at http://www.oglio.com. Cliff DeYoung Single "My Sweet Lady/Sunshine"

This single went to the number one spot on the charts.  From the soundtrack to "Sunshine," which made "Sunshine On My Shoulders" famous (John Denver).  Single includes DeYoung's version of "Sunshine" as well.  Available in picture sleeve (VALUE: $6) and regular die-cut non-picture sleeve (VALUE: $4).  Promo version available as well in picture sleeve (VALUE: $10).

Jessica Harper CDs

Jessica released four CDs (and cassettes) in all, each geared for children.  They are "Nora's Room," "40 Winks," "Not A Traditional Christmas," and "A Wonderful Life."  Each VALUE (regardless of format): $15

Jessica Harper Book

Released September 1999, "I Forgot My Shoes" is her first book for children, and it's based on one of her songs.  Great idea considering her talent for writing children's songs.  VALUE: $15

"Go 'Head" by 2 U HI! - Vinyl 12" single, CSR 120014, Central Station Records. Made in Germany, 1989

Running time 5:30 - this was a dance track by the group "2 U HI!" featuring many different samples including 4 or 5 from Shock Treatment (mostly of Macy from the Commercial Break).  Long out of print, and very difficult to find. No CD release.  VALUE: $25 in mint condition, $20 in good condition, $10 for CDR copy.

Videos / Trailers / 35mm Films / TV Shows (copies) featuring Shock Treatment stars

Hardcore Shock Treatment collectors often try to find videos of movies that feature actors from Shock Treatment.  Most are out of print on video, and they are forced to rent them (and copy them) or buy the ones they can find.  Some collectors find copies of TV programs that featured the actors from Shock Treatment.  Sometimes, after a good search, they can find actual 35mm film print of these movies, as well as 35mm trailers.  Definitely a sign of a hardcore collector. VALUE of copies: $2 each film (cost of blank tape), VALUE of actual Videos: $15 each, VALUE of 35mm Trailers: $10 each, and VALUE of 35mm film feature: $50 each title.

It is possible this exists, as 8-tracks were made all the way up to late 1985.

VHS Promotional Trailer

This item was seen recently on eBay, saying it was a VHS video tape, NOT a copy.  I didn't win so I am not sure if it is true.  Ad claimed that the tape cover (promotional white) had 20th Century Fox copyright on it.

Reel to Reel

Back in the days of 8-track, another popular format for music playback was reel-to-reel, which came in a special flat box.  They stopped making reel-to-reel mid-1982, so I'm not sure if Shock Treatment was ever made that way.

8mm print

Most home "cam-corders" in the "old" days were 8-millimeter film ran on 8mm projectors.  Some feature films were released this way.  Most "popular" ones were not.  Although they initially stopped making 8mm movies around 1981, ever so often a film is released on this format, usually as a novelty.  In 1982, around the time Shock Treatment was released, the movie "Secret of Nimh" was released on 8mm film.  Most recently, in 1991, movie "Madonna - Truth or Dare" was released on 8mm film.  So the possibility exists that our favorite cult film was released this way too.

Press Book

Press books are stapled books (like magazines) that feature nothing but ads for a movie coming out.  They are sent out to theaters and newspapers for printing ads on the movies.  The ads are all different sizes and shapes, and often contain production notes.  They even made a press book for Rocky Horror.  Although I am told they don't use press books anymore, there's still the possibility that there was one made and distributed for Shock Treatment.

Movie Disc

Back in the late '70s through the mid '80s, there was a format to watch movies called "Movie Disc" which was very similar to what we now call "laserdisc."  The large "disc," however, was inside a thick and heavy plastic sleeve (for protection), and you put the entire sleeve (with disc inside) INTO the movie disc player.  The player removed the disc for you, allowing you to remove the sleeve and replace it when finished watching the movie.  One of the most recent movie discs was "Empire Strikes Back" which came out after Shock Treatment.  And CBS / Fox released quite a number of them, particularly titles that were not successful at theaters.  Therefore, it is highly possible that a movie disc for Shock Treatment exists.
